Dear Eglobalmed,

I cannot thank you enough for what you did with our eldest son Zoheb. He was extremely keen to do Medicine. As you know Zoheb was studying in a small school in Ballina - regional NSW. His class was only the third batch of students doing HSc from that school. As a result both the school and us were ignorant of what was required to get into a medical course. There are no tuitions or courses available here as there are in big metropolitan centres. It was only by accident that we came across a pamphlet for your course. Once we visited your website, we knew that it was what Zoheb needed to succeed.

The course was very detailed, and you were there at all times to answer Zoheb's questions, and to guide him - sometimes at 1 am!!!. The skills you taught him not only put Zoheb at the same level as his city counterparts, but also gave him the edge in both UMAT and the various interviews. He was able to utilise the same skills in his preparation for the HSc exam as well, and am sure will be able to use them for the rest of his life.

I was amazed at your enthusiasm, and single minded dedication to our son. With your help Zoheb got offers for both Monash and Newcastle Universities, and he has accepted the offer from Newcastle. We as a family will always be grateful to you for what you did, and personally as a surgeon I feel that you give the students the edge which they require to be their best and reach their potential. I commend you for your good work and would have no hesitation in recommending your course to any one who wants to excel, and achieve their dream in the field of Medicine

Dear Eglobalmed,

I cannot thank you enough for the help, guidance and advice that you have given to Zaal, my son, in the last few months. Zaal has been accepted to the medical course at the University of Melbourne, which was his first choice. You have been an inspiration, friend and guide to us. My son has enjoyed working with you in your 2 day course and on a one to one basis to improve his interview skills. What I really appreciated is the advice and time that you gave to me, when I rang you several times in the last few months. Whenever I had a query or problem it was easy to contact you and talk things through, and you with your quick thinking brain and wit always had an answer for me.
During this complicated admission process the parents are as stressed, if not more about things, than the students, and having your support and experience to guide me was great.

Keep up your positive and witty attitude with students and continue to help encourage them to success.

Thankyou for training our twin boys Ross and Patrick. We are most grateful for your services with UMAT and their placement at the University of Western Australia. I figure that the odds of them both getting into medicine given the present level of competition was about one in sixty four. This speaks more than highly of your training.  They are both enjoying the course here.  Many thanks and keep up your impressive work.

Dear Eglobalmed,

My wife and I would like to express our sincerest appreciation on your individualized Interview skills training for our son and his successful admission at University of NSW.

It was very obvious that you had your “finger on the pulse” regarding the interview process and have a very meticulous and well-grounded interview skills training programme. Even though my wife and I are practicing health professionals of 20 years standing, I don’t think we could have in any way come closer to what was needed for our son .We admire the uncompromising, firm and disciplined manner in which you ironed out the undesired manners and at the same time reinforcing what were my son’s strengths.

The interviewing knowledge and skills that he has acquired will stand him well for years to come in all aspects of his life.

I have two other children in the wings and if they desire to pursue medicine in the future we would be grateful for your guidance.

Once again, Thank you for helping our son realise his full potential and life’s ambition.

I am very grateful for the advice and education regarding the UMAT and Interview you gave to my son Eli. He enjoyed the course and the written notes, but in particular benefited from the practice for the spatial section of the UMAT via the Superkeenye practice puzzle questions practised on the internet. They were great and he starred in that section without having great natural talent.
He is delighted with his offer to Monash Medicine. I wholeheartedly endorse your course for kids who want to get a step ahead in the very competitive world of Medicine entry.

Best Regards

After hearing of the efficacy of your 2-day Gold course for UMAT and private interview training from a colleague that knew of your students astounding results, I sent my son Samer to attend. It was important to me that he was afforded the best possible opportunity to enter medicine as that was the career he wanted to pursue. The results speak for themselves. He's been accepted into UNSW his university of first preference and rejected another offer from his second choice medical school. The support you've given him has been invaluable and he is looking forward to using your new complete medical course training notes online to assist his medical studies.

Professor Frank W Stitt MBBS (USYD) FRACP [Sydney]

I have had an opportunity to review the course prospectus of the Course in Preparation for Studies in Health Science, offered by Global Medical Education Online.

The course aims to prepare candidates to successfully undertake tertiary studies in a range of health science courses (including medicine, dentistry, optometry, oral health science, physiotherapy) or employment in a range of paramedical and health-related occupations.

The Steering Committee for the development of the course represent various sectors of the health science fields and they have had considerable experience in the provision of education in health sciences.  They have confirmed that for students to be successful in health science studies, it is desirable that they have the following skills:

- interview skills
- abstract non-verbal reasoning skills
- interpersonal skills
- professional and empathic communication skills
- dynamic reading skills
- logical reasoning, critical thinking and problem solving skills
- medical terminology

The course is consistent with newer ideas about education in the health sciences and reform of possible harmful traditional practices, where students are taught using passive methods, such as lectures, and there is a strong focus on assessment based on rote memorisation.

Newer programs for vocational training in health integrate teaching of basic sciences (anatomy, biochemistry) with clinical and social sciences, make use of community as well as hospital healthcare settings, increase overall patient contact, and provide greater student choice. New courses are likely to encourage learning methods that directly link new knowledge to patient care, modernise approaches to basic science (in particular anatomy), increase emphasis on appropriate consultation skills and attitudinal learning, and promote a more humane and supportive learning environment. Newer medical schools such as the four in the UK - also have the opportunity to take innovative approaches to selecting candidates for medical education and to the assessments that underpin the direction of student learning.

Newer approaches to student selection and admissions policies have been influenced by the 'widening access' debate. They have reconsidered what constitutes necessary prior academic attainment, and they attempt to attract good candidates regardless of age and sociodemographic and school background. Newer and innovative schools claim to use selection procedures for applicants in which academic criteria are only one hurdle in the process, standardised interviews are the norm, and part of the selection rests on non-academic criteria.

The Global Medical Education Online course appears to be a sound foundation for the preparation of potential students for admission into degree-granting programs in the health sciences, and to provide an appropriate focus on skills other than those assessed by secondary school barrier examinations.

Thank you so much for assisting Kiran in making her dreams come true. She worked assiduously as per your instructions and is now starting her career in medicine at UNSW. I can't believe we found you as I thought all the old fashioned teachers were gone. I know the firm discipline and never give up attitude you imbue into your students goes a long way in pushing them hard to achieve their success.  Her whole outlook has changed since your clinic and she now knows she can be a doctor. I must add that your preparatory rigorous training and brutal honesty shocked her at first but as I explained to her - when she is a doctor she will experience far, far worse than this during her lifelong career. Well done Global Medical Education Online.

Dr A Sivagnanam MBBS FRACGP [Broken Hill]

I started sending my twin girls Vashuki and Thevaki to Global Medical Education Online in year 11 for preparation for entrance into medicine via UMAT.Coming from Broken Hill for his courses was a difficult venture but with his professional track record I considered it worth the effort. What a surprise. He was extremely disciplined in his approach and very strict. This suited me well as I wanted my daughters prepared for a challenging and enduring career in medicine and this is exactly what they got. This year I am pleased to relate they both received multiple interviews and offers to several medical schools with Vashuki choosing Monash and Thevaki deciding to accept her Melbourne offer.  Thank you Global Medical Education Online for helping my girls to come this far and the girls have said they would love to talk to new students at your Melbourne UMAT Gold Clinics this year.  They will also be using your leading edge online medical course notes to help them through the long course.

I have just had the opportunity to review this Global Medical Education Online Course in Preparation for Studies in Health Sciences. Global Medical Education Online has done an excellent job in the design. It identifies the skills and attributes that are being used more and more in the selection of medical students. The course offers a very structured approach to enhancing these skills and attributes. Most potential students are poorly prepared for the selection processes used by most medical schools. A student who energetically applies him/herself in this course should be well placed to significantly enhance the likelihood of successful entry to medical school. The skills learnt will stand the student well in a wide range of life endeavours.

The advice my daughter, Bianca, received during your two day course was invaluable. She was offered three interviews based purely on her UMAT scores, which speaks very highly of the training provided in the course. We are very pleased that she has been offered two medical places. The only advice we (and she) have would be to start the UMAT training exercises earlier not two weeks before both the UMAT and her half yearly exams!

“As a mature age applicant in my early forties, the difficulty of gaining a place in medicine was brought home by conversations with a number of medical professionals and academics.  Sitting the UMAT on its own was a scary enough thought.  I enrolled in the Global Medical Education Online program because I felt I needed every single ace up my sleeve and was not willing to be turned down and feel that I had not done everything possible to achieve my dream.  The exercises provided by Icarus as preparation for the UMAT were extremely helpful and despite tertiary institution standard lines that you cannot learn to improve your UMAT performance by practice and preparation, take it from me, you can!  The seminar was also very motivating and well worthwhile.  I walked away from the 2 days with the firm belief that this goal was achievable and its achievement was solely in my hands.  The advice provided enabled me to direct my efforts at gaining entry to a medical course in the most productive avenues available.  I do not believe I would now be a medical student if I had not enrolled with Global Medical Education Online.”

Owing to Eglobalmed’s UMAT preparation course my eldest is currently in her third year of medicine. Unbeknown to us at the time the UMAT exam is critically important to medical entry, not just ones OP score. Without Eglobalmed’s course our daughter’s journey towards her medical degree may have been a lot more arduous and time consuming. The material that Eglobalmed provided for all three sections of the exam in addition to the interview training ensured that our daughter was well prepared and able to perform to her full potential. I would strongly recommend the course to any student endeavouring to gain entry into a medical course.

"My son wanted to do Medicine since year 7 and had been working very hard to achieve his objective. However to get in to medicine and realise his dream he needed help with UMAT. We found Eglobalmed's course online while searching for resources and my son enrolled with Eglobalmed since yr 9. Thanks to Eglobalmed's intensive and individualised course, my son achieved his objective without any problem. In fact he has been offered places in most of the universities that he has applied to.

I would recommend Eglobalmed's course to every aspiring candidate, as this course not only provides guidance but also provides insight into what is involved in UMAT and post UMAT Interviews."

I found that Global Medical Education Online's preparation for both the UMAT and the interview was extremely helpful in all respects. Global Medical Education Online is most supportive, approachable and meticulous in their approach to getting people into medicine. We are most pleased our son Michael can now look forward to enjoying studying for his medical degree at Melbourne University.  I highly recommend Global Medical Education Online'scourses for UMAT and private interview training to anyone seriously contemplating entering medicine or the health sciences.

Thank you from all of our family!

I really appreciate the effort that you put in with my son Ray. The help that you gave him in the ICARUS Gold preparation course and the online facilities you provided to him encouraged him to solve as many questions as possible and the constant correspondence between you and Ray enabled him to keep track of his progress. I do not think that he would achieve what he did without your help. He was offered a place in the medical school in the University of Adelaide as well as the medical Schools in Monash University, the University of Newcastle and The University of New South Wales. The Global Medical Education Online preparation college has helped Ray and I recommend it to any student who is seriously considering going to any medical school around Australia.

Hi Eglobalmed and all the Global Medical Education Online team,

My oldest son got into medicine in February this year with your help, and he has told my next son to make sure that he enrols too. I believe that it was his UMAT and interview skill scores that helped him significantly to get the scholarship that he won – which more than paid for doing your course!

My next son is now in Y11 and is hoping to start his UMAT training in the next holidays.
He would like to do the same course as my older son, which was superprep and included access to the 2 day clinic.

If for some reason my oldest son had not made it into medicine I still believe that the interview advice is appropriate for many other job or course interview situations.

Thankyou for giving me the opportunity to comment on the Global Medical Education Online Course in Preparation for Studies in Health Sciences. As you are no doubt aware, I have strong convictions that a course such as this should be made available for all prospective entrants to the health sciences degree courses. My particular conviction stems from a concept of equality of opportunity.

At the undergraduate level of entry to Health Science degree courses, candidates from diverse cultural and socio economic backgrounds seek admission. These candidates will have a correspondingly diverse range of life experiences and personal interactions. Some of these life experiences may directly or indirectly affect their level of competency for satisfying the stringent entry requirements of a health sciences degree. For some candidates appropriate experiences occurring either by accident or by design, may give some tangible advantage to successfully sitting entrance examinations for the health sciences. For other candidates, the absence of relevant experiences may well be a disadvantage to their successful completion of the entrance examinations.

It is my belief that all candidates should be offered an equal opportunity to achieve to their true potential at the admission procedures for the health sciences. To that end, I believe that a training course that encourages a consideration of the many avenues investigated by the health sciences admission process would allow candidates to enjoy a much more even standard of opportunity.  I believe that the spatial identification skills unit (VBP211) will allow candidates the opportunity to develop a skill set that may otherwise for some be left underdeveloped and result in less than appropriate performance in spatial identification testing. The unit (VBP209) aimed at developing effective interview skills again allows students from diverse backgrounds the opportunity to realise their true potential, rather than achieve a result that may be limited because of prior lack of exposure to similar situations because of cultural or socio-economic background. Unit (VBP211) offers a structured program for logical and critical thinking, an essential element for practitioners in health sciences. Again, this unit offers the potential to eliminate prejudicial effects of prior life events and experience, and allow training of candidates so that their true potential in this field may be realised.

Thank you once again for the opportunity of commenting on this course, which I see as beneficial to all proposed candidates for health sciences degree courses, as well as those likely to be employed alongside these health professionals.

Yours sincerely,

Dr Alan Broughton  (Prosthodontist) BDS  FRACDS MDS FPFA

My daughter Friyana has long wanted to study medicine and follow in my footsteps so I enquired re the task of her applying and entering medicine. My colleagues were unanimous in referring me to Global Medical Education Online for a complete training including the UMAT test. She started with Global Medical Education Online and gradually I noticed a positive change in her outlook as she began to believe that she could do it. Medicine was not an impossible hurdle but very achievable with hard work. Global Medical Education Online gave her plenty of this and although adopting a very tough stance with her, he allowed her to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Her determination grew under his tutelage and his deliberate pushing her well outside her comfort zone. He claimed that the ascent was tough and arduous but the view from the summit was only for winners. Well I am so happy to say that now she has joined those winners and will enjoy a medical career commencing her studies at Monash the medical school of her first preference. Global Medical Education Online my whole family thank you for your perseverance and bull dog attitude with Friyana which has gotten her across the line.

You have truly prepared her for medical entrance in so many ways and she now appreciates so much of your wisdom which usually eludes young people.

Yet again, thank you.

The GOLD UMAT clinic helped me gain an interview by placing me in a competitively high position rank-wise.

In the section 1 of the UMAT exam the questions require logical reasoning and can take time to complete and understand.  It is however easy to take too much time and possibly not finish this sectiondue to the thinking required. The UMAT clinic prepared me for this section by ensuring that I read each question thoroughly and absorbed as much as possible inthe minimum  amount of time (through a technique called dynamic reading), thus allowing for me to answer each question in the 1.2 minutes required.

The section 2 required communication skills, and the clinic helped me to identify what form of communication was required ( e.g. honesty, responsibility, professionalism etc. )as well as the difference in meaning between emotive words.

Finally the section 3  required visual and special skills.  The clinic helped me in this area by ensuring that I had the practice necessary ( this section can be improved on through practice ). Additional material was provided so that  I was able practise the types of questions that existed in the section 3 in UMAT.

Global Medical Education Online Gold UMAT PREP has assisted me greatly to prepare for the UMAT test. He has provided a very detailed set of notes that offer the theory with many practice exercises. This allowed me to be more familiar with the shapes in Section 3 of the UMAT.

In the two classes that I took, I was provided an interactive learning environment and allowed practice in class. The lecturer was willing to stay until all questions about the UMAT and the Medical Interview had been answered regardless of time, so that all uncertainties could be solved.

I believe Global Medical Education Online helped me prepare for the UMAT professionally, and I would recommend it to those who are sitting the UMAT test.

Eglobalmed clinics helped prepared me for the UMAT test and interview. The clinics are informative and the presenter knows his stuff.  He is willing to help and wants you to gain the most knowledge from his clinics. By the end, you will be very much aware of what to expect in the UMAT test.  I liked how the lecturer pushed all his students into achieving their best.  He wanted to give all his students the best chance in getting into medicine.

"So Others May Succeed"

The eglobalmed clinic for UMAT helped me achieve a greater understanding of what to expect in the test.  Not only did I feel confident and ready on the day, but I know that the skills taught us would do more than help me pass.

Speedreading, looking for key-words, breaking down the questions and recognising the type and purpose of the questions ( especially in section 1 ) are only some of the skills I had on the day. The UMAT presenter also gave me the opportunity to practice the extremely hard section 3 through a program he devised and sent all his students I was able to find all the shapes!

I am certain that without eglobalmed help I would have had some trouble dealing with the test, instead I felt confident as I knew what to expect. Eglobalmeds numerous practice tests were more than helpful and I had a background knowledge and an experience of the test questions.

I believe the eglobalmed clinic helped me with my UMAT test and gave me an opportunity to pass the test and practice my dream of medicine.

The Gold UMAT course made a clear improvement in my ability on the UMAT test.  The main advantage of attending the Gold UMATcourse was that I was able to gain a detailed idea of what the test was likely to be like.

By far the preparation for Section 2, the understanding people section, was the most helpful, understanding what the examiners are looking for in these questions made this section quite easy while others struggled through it.

Reading skills and practice in comprehension helped in Section 1, especially in finishing this section in time.  While Section 3, the visual section, was relatively easy, the practice program increased my speed in finding the shapes and also prepared my train of thought for this section.

"So Others May Succeed"

I consider the eglobalmed clinics for UMAT a great benefit for all those who are serious about entering Medicine. Global Medical Education Online provides ample material to become familiar with the UMAT questions and the structure of both the interpersonal skills and verbal reasoning questions.  The Section 3 puzzles were an excellent tool to practice the non-verbal reasoning section.

"So Others May Succeed"

eglobalmed.com

I think the best thing about Global Medical Education Online courses, is that you walk into the UMAT feeling prepared.

You know more about the layout and structure of the UMAT than over three-quarters of the people there, and that gives you such a confidence boost!! Many of the questions from Section 2  are similar type questions which you have gone over during the 2 day course and it is so good to see something you recognise and know how to answer!!

For the questions that are different, you know how to tackle them and how they want you to answer. For these reasons and so many more, I'd recommend anyone seriously considering medicine/dentistry/health sciences to enroll in a Global Medical Education Online course.

"So Others May Succeed"

eglobalmed.com

The eglobalmed clinic helped me know exactly what to expect in the UMAT test.  During the discussion of the types of questions that were going to be asked and more importantly the answers that were required really shocked me sometimes and were not at all what I expected.  Going into the UMAT with that knowledge under my belt really helped me know what was coming and be ready for it.  I know that I would have answered a lot of questions very differently if I hadn't gone to the clinic.

Also the reading skills that were given to me made finishing the test a lot easier. Before I went to the clinic I couldn't finish a test section but thanks to going I got through all the sections with time to spare. The faster and dynamic reading style definitely picked me up a couple of marks.

"So Others May Succeed"

eglobalmed.com

The eglobalmed Gold clinic for UMAT was an invaluable help in attaining an interview at the University of Adelaide.  I would never go into a maths test without practising similar questions and this was exactly same with the UMAT. The questions we were given to practice were helpful. The program on section 3 really helped me in an area I had difficulty with.

Also coming from a small country school meant that it was difficult to get assistance with finding out information about medicine in different states and the process that I was to go through to get into the course. Eglobalmed was able to answer all the questions that I had which would have otherwise remained unanswered and caused more stress during the real UMAT test.

"So Others May Succeed"

eglobalmed.com

The clinic was extremely useful in my preparation for the UMAT test.  It gave me a clear indication idea of what to expect. The Gold clinic shaped my problem solving thinking to suit the questions that were likely to be asked.  It gave me invaluable practice for the UMAT which boosted my confidence.  This was especially useful for the visual recognition questions.  The clinic gave me and understanding of the answers the UMAT test is looking for.  It also provided logical ways of approaching questions which lead to picking the best answer.

"So Others May Succeed"

eglobalmed.com

Eglobalmed clinics are the best. The intense course more than adequately prepares you for the UMAT test. This preparation course has allowed me to obtain an interview at the university of Adelaide, and is helping me to follow my dreams.

The techniques we learnt for Sections 1 & 3 were extremely helpful and imperative for completing those sections in the UMAT test successfully.  The practice questions we were exposed to for section 2 were extremely useful and also prepared us well for that section in the test.

The Global medical Education Online Gold UMAT clinic is great and I strongly recommend it if you want to study medicine, dentistry or other health sciences that require UMAT. It is great for both UMAT and the interview and is the most adequate preparation for UMAT that you can get.

"So Others May Succeed"

eglobalmed.com

Oh my gosh, I just don't know where to start. The Eglobalmed UMAT course is excellent. It's the best money, I've ever put towards my future.

After sitting the UMAT  for the first time without doing a prep course and failing out miserably, I decided I had to do something, and the eglobalmed course was that something.  The thousands of realistic practice questions, for both section 1 and section 2 got me used to answering the type and style of questions that were asked on the UMAT but it was the visual software for section 3 that really helped me.

I think that the software alone is worth every cent you pay for this course. The lecturers are amazingly good at what they do, which is shown through their enthusiasm for you to succeed at your dream.

"So Others May Succeed"

eglobalmed.com

Prior to attending the eglobalmed Gold clinic I went to a one day course run by a different provider.  I found both to be beneficial but the eglobalmed Gold clinic was more realistic in approach. We were told exactly what to expect, and were made ready for anything! Upon finishing UMAT I felt completely comfortable with my attempt and knew I had prepared sufficiently to receive a good score.

Recently I received news that my instinct was indeed correct and I have been offered a time for an Oral Assessment ( Dentistry, Adelaide Uni ), to prove my ability in person.

Without attending the  eglobalmed Gold clinic I have NO DOUBT that my UMAT score would not have been of a high enough standard to receive an offer. I find this quite ironic due to the fact the ACER does not endorse preparation courses.

"So Others May Succeed"

eglobalmed.com

I found the Gold course second day interview preparation really useful.  It provided a lot of practical " life " skills and other essential interview techniques.  In the UMAT preparation, I found the interpersonal skills, section 2 part, particularly good.  The preparation was very rigorous and quite challenging but a very good learning experience.

"So Others May Succeed"

eglobalmed.com

The Gold clinic for the UMAT assisted me with preparation for the UMAT by helping me to understand the structure of the test, the nature of the questions and how to overcome hurdles such as time limits. The technique of " dynamic reading " that was taught during the clinic helped with Section 1 of the UMAT.

The fact that I was able to read each question clearly and carefully yet still quickly after practicing the " dynamic reading " technique allowed me to use the allotted time well and complete Section 1. The clinic covered the nature  of the questions of Section 2 of the test,  explaining the need to select answers that focus on the finer meanings of emotive words.

The many examples of questions that  would be on Section 2 of the UMAT provided in the pre-course study materials and during the clinic familiarized me with how the questions would be set up and written.

The  spatial software training program for Section 3 of the UMAT was invaluable with preparation for this section. The explanation of the difference between the type of  questions, the approach to solving the patterns and the recommendation of using the " elimination strategy " helped me to understand how to tackle the questions.  When placed together, the techniques and strategies taught for each section of the UMAT during the clinic assisted me to do well in the UMAT and hence obtain an interview.

The eglobalmed Gold clinic for UMAT was very helpful in assisting me gain an interview.  It not only provided familiarity with the question types in the test but also allowed me to gain confidence in my ability to  gain an interview. In particular, the interactive program for section 3 was excellent in its approach and I think it was crucial for my success in that section.  In all, the clinic gave me an advantage over the majority of the candidates.

Global Medical Education Online,

Your Gold UMAT clinic was particularly useful for me in sections  2 and 3 of the UMAT test.  Once I became accustomed to the style of questions in section 2, I found them extremely easy. The  software and the notes on section 3 were also particularly useful. The idea of " definitive shapes " made dealing with the new shapes on the test much easier and consequently, you helped me obtain an interview after the UMAT.

Thanking you,

I found the Gold course second day interview preparation really useful.  It provided a lot of practical " life " skills and other essential interview techniques.  In the UMAT preparation, I found the interpersonal skills, section 2 part, particularly good.  The preparation was very rigorous and quite challenging but a very good learning experience.

The UMAT Gold clinic has helped me immensely to prepare for all sections of the UMAT, especially sections 1 and 2.  The reading material at the beginning of each section was very valuable in illustrating the skills needed for each section.  It also provided tips on how to prepare and what to do.

This basic knowledge helped in sitting the UMAT test as it formed the core of all the questions in Section 1 and 2 in the test.  It helped by showing the fundamental steps and theory behind the questions and also by aiding me in understanding and analyzing the questions. The learning material with the practice tests helped in improving the speed and efficiency with which I could handle the questions. The workshop was also great for reinforcing the primary principles behind each sections of the UMAT.

Year 12 is an important year, especially if you're considering doing Medicine at University. There are so many things to accomplish in year 12 : a high standard of school work, a tertiary entrance ranking of at least 99 and the daunting task of doing well in the UMAT.

To help make my job easier I attended Eglobalmed Gold UMAT clinic. The materials provided were excellent, feedback and support was great, and no doubt it gave me a colossal advantage over my peers.  It gave me an extra insight into the nature of the UMAT and I felt very confident about doing this all important test, I was more then  prepared.  When the day came, the competition crumbled at my feet, I soared past the three sections with ease.  The difference between me and those  who didn't enroll in the eglobalmed course was that  I came out of the examination room with a smile on my face, instead of tears.

I went into the eglobalmed Gold clinic with no idea what the UMAT consisted of or how to even tackle it. It  motivated me to work hard for my UMAT. Otherwise I would have left everything to the last minute. I improved using the techniques set out in the clinic and the notes eglobalmed provided.  My UMAT results were excellent and subsequently I was selected to the interview stage.  I recommend an eglobalmed clinic to any student who wants to achieve good results in the UMAT.

Eglobalmed,

Thankyou for the opportunity to attend your UMAT Gold clinic - so far my high expectations have only been exceeded.  Walking into the testing centre on UMAT day, I was calm and collected, knowing exactly what to expect.  Of course, your study strategies, tips and practice examples all helped it to be a much less stressful experience than the year before.

I've already seen the results, with my section 1 and 3 scores up by more than 20 percentiles each!. Now I have an interview at every University I applied to, and I'm more confident than ever that I'll be able to get past the interview with flying colours.

Thanks again Eglobalmed - keep up the good work

Everything was so well organised.  I learned exactly how the UMAT works, how to tackle it, and how to pick the correct answers. The UMAT was a breeze.  It's the biggest confidence booster when the invitations for interviews start coming in, and you realise for the first time, " I'm going to become a Doctor ".  It is the ultimate motivation for your finall exams as well.  The presenter was a top coach, and a top teacher. Eglobalmed is the best!.

Cheers Eglobalmed!

The training and information gained from the eglobalmed clinic for UMAT was invaluable. The quality of the course was of the highest standard, and guided me in the proper direction to tackle the UMAT.

The "dynamic-reading" technique allowed me to comfortably analyse the materials in section one without compromising the thoroughness and depth required to answer the questions. The teachings of professionalism, empathy, honesty etc also gave me a better insight in the scenarios of section two, and the " superkeeneye " puzzles trained me to find the shapes with ease.

This eglobalmed UMAT Prep course provided the confidence and training I needed. It wasn't a stroll in the park, but it definitely gave me the edge.

Eglobalmed has assisted me greatly to prepare for the UMAT test. It has provided a very detailed set of notes that offer the theory with many practice exercises. This allowed me to be more familiar with the questions. Also, the program SuperKeenEye helped me to recognise shapes in Section 3 of the UMAT.

On the second day, the dynamic presenter provides an interactive learning environment and allows practice in class. The presenter will stay until all questions have been answered regardless of time, so that all uncertainties can be solved. I believe it has helped me prepare for the UMAT, and I would recommend it those who are sitting the UMAT test.

Dear Eglobalmed,

Your clinic and materials were immensely helpful in gaining me an interview. I faced the UMAT exam with confidence, as I was familiar with the type of questions asked.  Doing the practice tests enabled me to pace myself in such a way that I was able to finish each section.

I sat the UMAT, first time and achieved mediocre results. I knew nothing about the UMAT and consequently spent about 5 minutes trying to decipher the first question obviously running out of time.  I sat the UMAT test again and completely aware of what was expected and familiar with the questions thanks to the techniques I learnt from your Gold clinic. Thank you Eglobalmed.

Yours Sincerely,

Peter Chen

I felt that the most outstanding feature of the Superprep clinics is the extensive amount of questions provided.

Being aware of the style of questions made it so much easier to answer. I was immediately able to eliminate obviously in-correct, as well as, "donkey" answers to give me a much better probability of choosing the right answer.

The understanding I gained of the different types of questions and how to approach them was also a fantastic help.  As soon as I saw the logic game, I skipped it, without worry, coming back to it at the end, when I know I had time to produce what I believe was the best answer.

The interactive superkeeneye was also FANTASTIC! In the UMAT I managed ALL type of the puzzles.

I only found out about the Gold a few weeks before the test date and so I didn't have much time to practice speed reading. During the course I found the unique teaching methods very good and I was starting to pick it up by the end of the second day.  Even though I don't think I used it effectively in the exam, I am sure it works  given the appropriate time and practice, due to the improvement I saw in myself in only a few days.

All round, I think Gold  is a great package.

Thanks Eglobalmed Team!!

The most helpful parts of the Gold Clinic are sections 1 and 3 and the interview.

I found all the shapes in section 3 of the UMAT test mainly because of it. Eglobalmed preparation for section 2 was also helpful in that it gave me an idea of what to expect and made me feel more confident during the real UMAT test conditions.

Overall, the Gold Clinic was worth it for me because of its preparations for sections 1 and 3 and the interview are SUPERB.

This Gold UMAT course really helped in the way it developed my reading skills in preparation for section 1. Without the emphasis on dynamic reading, I would certainly have completed less than what I did on the UMAT day ( I managed to complete 40/44 problems, which although not great, is passable ).

Furthermore, I strongly felt that the lecturers radical way of finding situations to illustrate key concepts in section 2 (such as professionalism and honesty) benefited me on the day. Part of the reason why I got so much out of the course was due to the fact that "work preparation" was set before attending the sessions, which meant that I came to the UMAT test  knowing what to expect.

Lastly, the direct, sometimes blunt way that key points were emphasized in all the sections clearly made it easier for relevant points to stick in my memory during the UMAT.

The Gold clinics run by Global Medical Education Online provided a strong basis for my understanding of the various types of questions and an insight into the psychology behind the questions.

This enabled me to pick the suggested answer from the all seemingly correct multiple-choice options.  the discussion of past UMAT questions during the prep clinic was especially helpful. The eglobalmed structure and well-researched clinics covered all aspects of the UMAT, from the logical reasoning and problem solving to the non-verbal reasoning, thus providing students with breadth and insight and into the ideology behind the questions. The lead in discussions stimulated by the teacher formed the basis for me and encouragement for the participation of students during the sessions.

I am sure that my fellow students who attended the prep clinics held by eglobalmed are equally as grateful of the teachers sharing of knowledge and insight into the UMAT, paving the way for a student's bright future!

Eglobalmed prepared me for what I was up against. It gave the foresight to finish UMAT section 1 by doing the questions relatively quickly.

For section 2, the Gold course gave me basic rules to pick an answer  ( provided the options, let the patient decide ). It helped me to find some shapes in section 3 quickly. The eglobalmed gold course definitely gave me some clues as to what the interviews were going to be like.

The eglobalmed UMAT prep course made me feel more confident as I knew what I was expecting, then in the exam I felt more confident with my answers.

Eglobalmed Gold UMAT course helped me pass the UMAT in the following ways:

I learnt how to read much faster and comprehend what I was reading. This helped me finish section 1 without being too fatigued to handle the next 2 sections.  ( At the end of this section were simple visual puzzles which were good to skip to when I needed to reduce the monotony of section 1 . Also being able to answer these visual puzzles easily was psychologically boosting )

Your practice tests for section 1 helped me prepare as I knew what to expect when I sat the UMAT.

The logic puzzles and " prep " material on the different types of puzzles were able to put my mind into the right thought processes in order to comfortably digest information from the UMAT questions.

Section 2 training helped immensely in that I learnt what being  "professional "  meant. Learning how to deduce the " required " answer on the UMAT meant that I didn't waste time and could finish the section easily. Without your training materials, I would have failed this section because I would not have known what to look for.

Learning the different types of questions from section 2 was useful because I also learnt about the qualities the interviewers are interested in.

The section 3 training program was an enormous help to me, without it I would not have been able to find any of the shapes.  The written material for section 3 was very clever in the way it simplified how to find the shapes.  It was from these basic priciples that I was able to find the new shapes  that had been introduced into the exam. If I had not read the written material on section 3, I would have panicked and been unable to find solutions.

Hi Eglobalmed Team,

Although my UMAT test score was not high enough to granted an interview at Monash, my ENTER score did allow me to gain an interview there. Despite this however, I still believe that the gold clinic helped me greatly with the UMAT test.

Firstly, it gave me the opportunity to study for the UMAT and the knowledge my study would be benifical.  It seems absurd that students are taught to study for tests and yet we are told not to study for the UMAT test.

The gold clinic enabled me to prepare for the UMAT test and also to have the confidence that what I was learning was indeed useful.  The clinic taught me how to approach the UMAT test and gave me excellent advice about pacing and timing myself, as well as not stressing out.  Through the clinic I learned about what each section of the UMAT test contained and how to sutdy for each. I also gained great confidence for the section 3 ( the infamous shapes' section ) from the clinic.

Thank you Eglobalmed for all your help.

The Gold UMAT course helped me do well in the UMAT exam and obtain an interview because it helped me focus on the specific qualities and charateristics that the UMAT exam is testing for.

The course helped me to recognise specific question types and styles and to subsequently apply specific solving strategies to them in a consistent way.

The UMAT practice material helped immeasurably so I became extremely familiar with question types, knowing what the "preferred" answers are, and there were more than enough practice questions to use.

Thus I learn't to recognise the " question behind the question ". The Gold UMAT course also helped me to recognise and focus on the skills I already have. This and the course in itself helped me develop more confidence in myself to attempt the UMAT exam in and interview.

I honestly believe that without the course I would not have done well enough in the exam to be invited for interview.

Thanks Eglobalmed.

The "Gold clinic for UMAT " was very helpful as it gave me a chance to view the types of questions, and the preferred responses for each of the sections.  Without having any previous knowledge of what the UMAT test would be like, the clinic was useful as it gave me confidence, and prepared me with the skills that would be necessary in order to achieve a satisfactory mark.

The notes, and practice examples which were given to us, as well as the various puzzles, were further helpful, in that they gave me a taste of the expected questions. Eglobalmed's extra help on information about specific universities and their various interviews, gave me extra confidence and helped me prepare myself for the scary, and often intimidating interviews that were to follow.

I really believe that this Gold clinic for UMAT was helpful, and I would recommend others to take part in this clinic.  The effectiveness of the course, is very much reflected in the results.

Thanks Eglobalmed!!!

The Gold clinic made me confident about the test, since it gave me an idea of what I was to expect, but more importantly, the clinic changed my outlook towards the UMAT test. Before the clinic, I felt as though I was against near impossible adds and that I was not at a standard that was needed to be successful.  The course made me feel positive about my abilities and that if I really was dedicated in pursuing a dental career; I would succeed.

The dynamic reading session helped me with the pace that was required to complete the UMAT test and hence get a satisfactory score.  The clinic also made me aware of the attributes that are essential to a health professional. This was needed in seciton 2, so that I could appropriately deal with certain scenarios that were presented.  The length of the clinic and the amount of work we did, also prepared me for the enduring length of the UMAT test.

ThankYou Eglobalmed.

The Gold UMAT clinic has been invaluable. It teaches the skill essential for success in the logical reasoning section comprehensively.

I also discovered what it takes to be a doctor - empathy and discipline - which insured the best answer for section 2 was selected.  The SuperKeenEye software provided allowed me to practise the simple processes for success in the final verbal non-reasoning section of the test, that were learnt at the Gold UMAT clinic.

For any prospective Med students who attend the Gold UMAT clinic,  I have one piece of advice- prepare yourself  for the interview day!. Finally, I must add that the speed reading skills taught at the clinic are essential to complete the first section of UMAT, and to take as many practice tests as possible.

Section 3 of the UMAT is a nightmare to many students; Gold UMAT preparation clinic is particularly helpful in section 3.  With numerous practices with sample questions, I have familiarized myself with both type 1 and type 2 questions. In the actual UMAT, there were only 3 questions in setiton 3 where I could not identify the sequences.

The clinic has helped me to build my confidence before the test, and has secured me an interview with the university of Adelaide.
